PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP'S 2026 STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS - By Bernard Bujold -  The annual State of the Union address, delivered by the president of the United States, Donald J. Trump, to a joint session of the United States Congress, will be a highly watched event. Personally, I will not be inside the Capitol in Washington, but I will be watching very closely on television with my three mascots (Ulysse, Argos, and Gus). The main issue in the 2026 speech should be the economy. The official theme of the speech, according to White House officials familiar with the draft, is “America at 250: Strong, Prosperous and Respected,” a reference to the 250th anniversary of the country’s founding. One will also be watching the US Olympic Ice Hockey team, which will be in the visitor special guests galleries. JEUX OLYMPIQUES 2026 -  Par Bernard Bujold -  J’ai toujours eu un faible pour l’Italie et je suis un grand fan de Giorgia Meloni. J’ai donc adoré l’idée de tenir les Jeux olympiques d’hiver 2026 en Italie.  J’ai particulièrement apprécié le match de hockey entre le Canada et les États-Unis. Un match d'une grande qualité, comme on n'en voit rarement, sans aucun jeu décousu et avec deux équipes de très haut niveau. Malheureusement, le Canada a dû se contenter de la médaille d’argent, que les joueurs ne voulaient pas vraiment… On peut dire que le match a été décidé par les gardiens de but. PATINOIRE DU PRINTEMPS 2026 -  Par Bernard Bujold -  Une patinoire éphémère a été installée en face de l’Anneau de Place Ville Marie et sera accessible gratuitement au public du 27 février au 29 mars. Une façon de saluer le départ de l’hiver, et l’arrivée du printemps... La patinoire (40 pi sur 40 pi) est petite pour une patinoire publique et loin d'une patinoire olympique, mais l’idée est intéressante et la vue magnifique! OLYMPICS ICE HOCKEY 2026- By Bernard Bujold -  The USA wins a thriller game vs Canada for their first men’s hockey gold since 1980. Jack Hughes scored the game-winner at 1:41 in overtime to give Team U.S.A. a 2-1 win over Team Canada in the gold medal game in men's hockey at the Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina. Connor Hellebuyck showed why he was the U.S. starting goalie at the Olympics! The goaltending numbers for the USA's Connor Hellebuyck and Canada's Jordan Binnington made all the difference in the final game.
