LA PETITE HISTOIRE DE LA RADIO MONTRÉALAISE -  Par Bernard Bujold -  Jean-Pierre Coallier avait créé le 25 juin 1998 la Radio Classique. Cette station ne diffusait que de la musique classique et était inspiré d’un projet semblable en France.  Jean-Pierre Coallier s’est beaucoup amusé avec son projet, mais en 2015, il vendait à l’artiste Gregory Charles. Gregory n’a pas pu maintenir l’élan du projet et en juin 2020, il vendait à son tour à un groupe de Québec, deux frères de la famille des biscuit Leclerc. Eux non plus n’ont pu poursuivre le projet et voilà qu’ils vont diffuser la programmation d’une radio internet de Quebecor...  C’est un retour à la casse départ du début…  En effet, en 1995, Jean-Pierre Coallier recherchait des actionnaires pour son projet et il avait sollicité Quebecor. LE WEEKEND DU SAINT FRÈRE ANDRÉ -  Par Bernard Bujold - Le Saint Frère André a fêté son 179 anniversaire vendredi dernier 9 août. On pourrait dire que c’est son weekend de fête!  Le personnage était une vedette à son époque et on venait de partout de par le monde pour lui demander un miracle…  Je ne suis pas tellement croyant catholique, mais j’ai toujours eu de l’affection pour le Frère André. LA VIOLENCE INTERNET AU QUÉBEC…  Par Bernard Bujold -  On serait porté à croire que la violence est une histoire pour les pays étrangers, la Russie, l’Israël ou les États-Unis. Et bien cette violence existe aussi au Québec…  Un de mes contacts Facebook, doux en apparence, a tout récemment publié le message suivant en voulant parler de Donald Trump:   "L’homme orange est une vermine unique il faut l’effacer de l’ardoise de la vie dès le 5 novembre ».  De toute évidence, c’est une menace de mort verbale et si le type habitait aux États-Unis, plutôt que Montréal, les autorités seraient alertées sur son cas.  Ici au Canada, nous avons vu plusieurs menaces sur les médias sociaux contre Justin Trudeau et la GRC a poursuivi les coupables. LIFE IS LIKE A BINGO...  By Bernard Bujold -  One could compare American political life to a bingo with the black marbles totally on one side of the bowl, and the white marbles on the other. In other words, polarization...  That's what's happening right now in the United States. We can also conclude that the marbles in Donald's half are glued together. Donald can't go any lower in the polls because his supporters are untouchable and won't change their minds. On the other hand, Kamala can only go down, and her comeback after Joe Biden's departure wasn't strong enough. She should have risen above 50% and Donald should have fallen below 40%. A 47%-47% tie is a bad sign for a title contender, whether in sports or politics.  Also, the choice of Tim Waltz as running mate of Harris will have done nothing to please a Democratic decision-maker like Barack Obama, who is a close friend and great supporter of Josh Shapiro!  To be continued...  www.lestudio1.com

THE POLARIZATION OF THE PLANET IN 2024-  By Bernard Bujold - Don't think that polarization is a recent invention of Donald Trump...  You only have to look back in history to see that humanity has always been polarized. In the past, there was no CNN or Fox News and the population was more isolated. Still, polarization was present in the organized life of cities, villages, or countries and, because of isolation, there was much more physical violence.  Polarization means that one half is opposed to the projects of the other half, but how do you decide? Polarization is like a ship at sea with a crew that wants to go in two different directions... Ultimately, the boat will end up on an island or a beach, but which one? And how can the losing half find happiness in the winning half's choice? The Democrats have the opposite strategy: to make people forget Biden's existence altogether...  Joe Biden won in 2020 because Covid had turned everything upside down and people feared chaos. They thought Biden would end the polarization, but he made it worse.  A specific feature of the 2024 campaign is that the momentum of the two political parties varies from week to week.
